Because carbon fiber is a new outdoor reinforcement method. Carbon fiber is an elastic material with high strength and modularity. Since the material is connected to the building structure with the help of epoxy glue, it is used as the external reinforcement of the wall.

When do I need to patch the wall? How to strengthen the wall

Load-bearing walls will only be reinforced in extreme cases, such as:

  • Damage to the building structure.

  • When working conditions change.

  • If the structure of calculating the sum changes.

  • Need to improve the reliability and service life of the structure.

  • Over time, cracks, dampness and mildew began to appear in the house.

Why use carbon fiber for wall strengthening reinforcement?

Compared with other commonly used materials in construction (aluminum, steel), carbon fiber-based composite materials have high strength, elasticity and chemical resistance. In addition, this material:

refractory;

  • Heat resistance

  • Light weight

  • When working, there is no need to stop work in the building (applicable to offices, etc.);

  • Shock proof;

  • If necessary, it can be used in several layers;

  • Will not change the size of the room.

When reinforcing walls, this carbon fiber material is actually irreplaceable.

Which walls can carbon fiber reinforce?

Carbon fiber can reinforce almost any building material, the most common are:

  • Concrete structure.

  • Metal structure.

  • Wood structure.

  • Stone structure.

Which carbon fiber is best to use?

HM-30 unidirectional carbon fiber sheet

Application areas:

  • Increase the seismic resistance of the brick wall;

  • Loss of reinforcement compensation;

  • Increase the flexibility and load-bearing capacity of the column;

  • Increase the carrying capacity of the system;

  • Change the scope of the building;

  • Structural damage changes;

  • Correction of displacement caused by earthquake influence;

  • Increase work intensity;

  • Strengthen the system to correlate with operational standards.

Advantage:

  • Made in the form of woven fabric to increase fiber stability;

  • The versatility of use (makes every type of bone enhancement possible);

  • General surface geometry (beams, columns, chimneys, piles, walls, silos);

  • Canvas of different widths for various problem purposes;

  • Recertification of materials used in many states;

  • Low saturation, providing the least additional weight;

  • Compared with traditional technologies, the materials used ensure significant cost-effectiveness.

How do you reinforce walls with carbon fiber?

There are two types of carbon fiber wall reinforcement materials: wet and dry. In both cases, the carbon fiber is applied in the same way, only the order of application of the composite material and the carbon fiber itself are changed. In the first coating method, the composite material is applied to the surface, and then the carbon fiber itself is coated. In contrast, in the second method, a carbon fiber mesh is applied to the first layer and glue is applied to it. If needed, you can apply additional reinforcement layers, make sure to let the previous reinforcement layers dry.
