Introduction

This report presents results oftests carried out on carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP)materials, supplied by xxx Company, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to the Department of Civil Engineering, King Saud University.

lhe following is a list of materals supplied

1) HORSE Uni-directional Carbon fiber sheets -HM-30

2) HORSE Epoxy adhesive-HM-180C3P

Presented below are the tests that were carried out on the supplied materials as per the specified ASTM standard (ASTM D3039-17)


Tension Testing of CFRP Sheet Coupons HM-30

Tension test on CFRP-sheet laminate coupons was carried out as per the specifications laid out in ASTM D3039/D3039M-17. Five specimens were tested under uniaxial tension andthe results are displayed in Table below. The laminates were prepared by saturating the CFRP sheet in the provided HORSE epoxy resin (HM-180C3P).
